Juliet Cutler, Principal

Juliet Cutler, principal at Nomad Studio, has worked on more than 50 planning and design projects for museums, parks, historic sites, and cultural destinations across the United States and around the world.

As a talented planner and writer with graphic design as well as teaching experience, Juliet is unique in her field. She is gifted at evaluating visitor demographics and needs, identifying core messages, and developing creative strategies to convey those messages in ways that transform research and facts into important educational experiences, compelling story-based narratives, and visually striking exhibits. Juliet’s goal is always to help her clients tell meaningful stories in many and varied forms, but even beyond this, she seeks to create places of discovery and engagement.

Juliet’s work always requires sensitivity to diverse perspectives and the ability to facilitate a common vision—something she is skilled at achieving. She has successfully worked with stakeholders around the world including with several First Nations and other diverse communities in the United States, Canada, Europe, East Africa, and the Middle East.

Juliet is also an accomplished author. Her first book, Among the Maasai (2019), received critical acclaim through several national and international awards including the Independent Publisher Book Award, the IBPA Book Award, and the National Indie Excellence Award. Her second book, Lessons in Hope (2025), also earned numerous awards. In 2026, Juliet was named Georgia Author of the Year.

Juliet is a certified interpretive planner (CIP) through the National Association for Interpretation. She holds a masters of arts (M.A.) in communications development and English, and a bachelors of science in education (B.S.Ed.).
